Sifting her way through college, surviving like most musicians- by the pickle jar tips received from gigging, this 19 year old Texas country artist finds herself easily thrown into the music business, blowing past most with her powerful voice and lyrics. Tori Allen is surrounded by a fan base that pulls from all of Texas.
Beginning her journey on stages live around Central Texas at just the age of 13, she’s had plenty of time to dip her toes in the water and decide to jump on in headfirst! It’s clear to Miss Allen and everyone who is around her that this child was born a star, one with incredible talent and grace. She was known by most as the girl who had her guitar with her at every moment asking any and everyone she would meet, “Hey, listen to my new song!” One song was usually all it took to see that with a voice like that, it wouldn’t be long before Tori would be leaving us all in the dust.
At the age of 17, Tori Allen released her first debut album entitled “Stuck In This House”, now available on iTunes. Since then, Tori has been writing and recording, with a new EP projected to be released December 2011. In March of 2011, Tori Allen was sponsored by watchitoo.com, AT&T, and www.Bandromeda.com to be a part of the South By South West Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Getting the chance to perform in front of thousands at her showcases and also the live interactive festival.
Tori is attending The University of Texas San Antonio with a violin scholarship. She has been a concert violinist for 9 years, sitting concertmaster of the Round Rock Symphony at New York’s Carnegie Hall in March of 2009. Miss Allen has won many awards through her short career, one of which the Gap Born To Fit Songwriting Contest sponsored by Gap and Chick-fil-a, and there shall be many more to come.
Tori started very young, she has been playing piano since the third grade, and also the guitar at 12 years old, it didn’t take long for her to begin to find that music was her best emotional outlet. As Tori Allen writes the stories of her life, we will all sit and listen as we grow with her. Her fan base is one that is very loyal; she is a friend to us as we to her. With someone with such poise and talent, I think we all know it won’t be long before we see Miss Allen on the road to fame.
